Kspek by Kathleen van der Spek is a collection of one of a kind handmade items. The designs are created out of repurposed and eco-conscious natural fabrics. The Kspek collection is a culmination of my love of sewing, fashion design and our planet. 

I began sewing at my Mother's and Grandmother's knee. Piecing together scraps to make something was second nature to me.  As a teenager, making my own clothing was a way to obtain a new outfit. My family was big into "hand me downs", "less is more" and "quality over quantity". All of which I appreciate so much more today. 

The Kspek collection is created from beautiful materials that have been around, sometimes forgotten and often traded in for something new. These materials still have life and beauty left in them and can be made new again.
